Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn (born in America) is an American actor from America. Her most famous role was as Skyler in the drama series of AMC, Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Award to recognize Outstanding supporting Performance on a Drama Series for 2013 and 2014. Other roles she has played are Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in 1968 Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School before her family moved to Ohio at the end of the 1970's. Anna attended the British American Drama Academy and studied theatre through Northwestern University. Anna started her acting career working in the Chicago area theatres for a short time. After that, she switched to television and film. Anna was the first to get a major part in the role of Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes from 1992. In the early 90s she appeared as a regular actor in both film and TV including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. In 2008 she was cast as Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully, the Deadwood film and a few other films also featured her. Gunn also starred in David Schwimmer directed film Sex With Strangers. In addition, she played in the show Numbered Day, which is a podcast consisting of four audio-based plays. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate ending mirrors the last seasons in the story of Walter White.
